2022: A New Vision for the Future of Montessori East

- The Lighthouse Project -

Our goal is to build a new community campus by 2022, expanding our scope from our current preschool and primary school to the broader age range from 0-18.  In addition to our current services it will incorporate a high school, under three's program, parent development centre and community education hub.  A national Montessori teacher training facility will also be established on the same campus.

We believe that the role of education is to develop a lifelong love of learning, and a deep respect for each other; creating a more connected community and empowered world citizens.  Montessori East School's vision is to create  a relevant education revolution through the establishment of this new centre.    It will be a school of the 21st Century and beyond, that has at its heart the needs of the child (and in turn society), built on  the foundations of a solid pedagogy laid down by Dr Maria Montessori.

The demand for a new approach to teaching and learning has seen a growing interest in the  Montessori model of education. This is the optimal time to see this vision become a reality, to become a lighthouse of learning for all families desiring to be a part of a better world.

Capital Appeal

We are seeking $20 million to fund this project. We are currently in the planning phase, seeking visionary like-minded investors to partner with us in this endeavour.

"Preventing conflicts is the work of politics; establishing peace is the work of education. We must convince the world of the need for a universal, collective effort to build the foundation for peace." - Maria Montessori

Future location

The new location of the campus would be within the existing catchment area of Sydney's eastern suburbs, ideally under either a rental long lease or purchase arrangement.
